Jay Keasling Receives Humboldt Award

Jay Keasling, CEO of the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI), is the recipient of a 2023 Humboldt Research Award. He was recognized for his achievements and expertise in biochemistry, genetics of microorganisms, and applied microbiology. Keasling was nominated by his long-time collaborator Lars M. Blank, Director of the Institute of Applied Microbiology at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
