Educational Visits

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is currently closed to outside visitors.  We do not anticipate being able to offer in-person outreach activities until late Spring/early Summer 2022.  In addition to offering virtual tours of our facilities, we recommend the many wonderful programs offered by our K-12 Outreach Office.

JBEI maintains an active schedule of educational visits that include laboratory tours and career exploration activities throughout the year.

Program

Educational visits last between one and two hours and typically include an overview about bioenergy, a tour of JBEI’s laboratories and a STEM careers exploration session. Visits to JBEI can also be customized according the students’ interests.

Audience

JBEI welcomes student visits at middle, secondary and tertiary education visits originating local, national and internationally.
