JBEI Graduate Student Researcher in the Feedstocks Division, Karen Serrano, was recognized for her extraordinary outreach service at the Chancellor’s Awards for Public Service ceremony at the UC Berkeley Alumni house on May 2, 2023. The Plant and Microbial Biology graduate student was presented with the Robert J. and Mary Catherine Birgeneau Recognition Award for Service to Underrepresented Students.
