On April 23 the Berkeley Lab held a Science Festival for 150 sons and daughters of Lab employees. JBEI volunteers Mi Yeon Lee, Clarabelle Cheng-Yeu, Phil Gach, Melissa Nhan, Nick Everson and Irina Silva (pictured, from left below) led four hands-on tabletop activity “stations” related to JBEI’s bioenergy research. The activities included “Synthetic Biology with Beads”, “Fermentation in a Bag”, “Jello Microfluidics” and “Plant Sample Preparation”.
