“Cool School” is a program aired Thursday mornings on KPIX, the CBS affiliate in the Bay Area, that reports on unique educational efforts. On Thursday, August 7, the program highlighted iCLEM, the summer program for disadvantaged students sponsored by the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI) and the Synthetic Biology Engineering Research Center (Synberc), with funding from DOE and NSF.
