The Biosciences Area’s Emery Station Operations Center welcomed Richard Bloom, Assemblymember of the 50th District of the California State Assembly, on November 21. As Chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Resources and Transportation, Assemblymember Bloom has pushed for increasing renewable energy development and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The visit to JBEI and ABPDU served as an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in bioenergy research and bioproducts production.
