Here in the Bay Area, more air pollution comes from motor vehicles than from any other source. So every time someone takes alternative means of transportation instead of a car, we all do our part to make breathing in our parts of town a little easier.
We are working with various agencies to provide incentives to staff who make use of their bicycles, CarPool, BART, AC Transit, the EmeryGoRound, and the LBNL shuttle. Please continue to visit these pages, as we will provide useful information on these programs.
AC TRANSIT
AC Transit provides and promotes public transit in order to reduce traffic congestion and improve the quality of life in our area. AC Transit participates in Urban Planning projects to encourage transit-oriented development. EMERY GO ROUND
The Emery Go Round is a free shuttle to Emeryville from MacArthur BART and Emeryville Amtrak train stations. Buses run every day, with a frequency of 10-12 minutes during weekday commute hours.
Each of their vehicles is equipped with a satellite tracking unit. You can view the location of each vehicle on a live map, or get computerized arrival estimates.
