Liang is among the laureates of 2016 Berkeley Lab Director’s Awards
Yan Liang, a postdoctoral researcher at the Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI) was given an Early Scientific Career Award for her innovations that will enable the transformation of the field of plant synthetic biology. Liang works at JBEI’s Feedstocks Division in the Cell Wall Engineering Group, where her work provides novel approaches for crop engineering to support Berkeley Lab and DOE’s missions related to sustainability, food and energy.
A ceremony honoring all of the 2016 recipients will be held on November 17 at 3:00pm.
