JBEI director, Trent Northen, has been recognized with an R&D award as the co-inventor of the Nanostructure-Initiator Mass Spectrometry (NIMS) technology. NIMS is a highly sensitive method used to study metabolites and the products of enzymatic reactions in biological systems.
