Wolf Frommer is a staff scientist with the Carnegie Institution for
Sciences Department of Plant Biology, and an associate professor
of biology at Stanford University. His research emphasis has focused
on the study of
regulatory networks that control flux through the metabolic pathways,
and on systematically mapping membrane protein interactions to identify
the underlying physical networks.
Director of Grass Genetics
Pamela Ronald
Pamela Ronald is a professor of plant pathology and Chair of the Plant Genomics Program at UC Davis. She is a leading investigator into fundamental biological processes of grasses such as rice and switchgrass, using the tools of genomics, proteomics and informatics.
Director of Cell Wall Synthesis
Henrik Vibe Scheller
Henrik Vibe Scheller is a professor of plant biochemistry at the University of Copenhagens Life Sciences Department. His research for JBEI focuses on the identification of glycosyltransferases and other enzymes involved in cell wall biosynthesis and determining their biochemical function.
Director of Cell Wall Engineering
Dominique Loque
Dominique Loque was a member of the research group of Wolf Frommer at the Carnegie Institution for Sciences Department of Plant Biology. For JBEI, his research targets the structure of plant cell walls for improved cellulosic extraction.
Director of Systems Biology
Joshua Heazlewood
Joshua Heazlewoods research at JBEI involves the utlization and integration of transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic methods and state of the art imaging systems to form detailed characterization of components involved in cell wall formation, development and maintenance.
